Powerful New Trade Fair Duo in Leipzig

From 22 to 24 October 2024, Fuel & Gas Logistics and GGS – Trade Fair Dangerous Goods // Hazardous Substances will be held together for the first time at Leipziger Messe. Exhibitors and visitors to both trade fairs can benefit from the numerous synergies and added values resulting from this powerful new trade fair duo.

"By holding both these international trade fairs at the same time, we have created a powerful trade fair duo. The topics covered at GGS and Fuel & Gas Logistics complement each other perfectly, making the trade fairs a superb match", says Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe. One reason for the compatibility is that almost every transport or logistical process involving energy sources, lubricants and industrial gases falls into the categories of dangerous goods transport or hazardous substances handling. "Leipzig is an excellent location for this trade fair duo. As a logistics hub in a region with strong chemical industries and a growing hydrogen significance, the location offers great opportunities for our target groups", Geisenberger continues.

Fuel & Gas Logistics covers the entire logistics chain for the transport, handling, storage and trading of fossil, renewable and synthetic fuels as well as lubricants and technical gases. The new trade fair will address the shift towards a broader range of products in energy and fuel trading while taking account of the increasing significance of renewable and synthetic fuels within the context of the energy transition. Additional key unique selling points include a focus on topics surrounding liquid, solid and gaseous substances as well as the intermodal integration of road, rail and waterway transport.

GGS has been held at Leipziger Messe since 2017 and focuses on solutions, products and services for transporting and storing hazardous goods, for intralogistic processes involving hazardous substances and for the safe handling of dangerous goods and materials. The portfolio of the trade fair appeals to decision-makers and specialists responsible for transport and logistics processes as well as hazardous goods advisors and safety officers.

Together, the two trade fairs attract additional target groups of trade visitors to each event, generating significantly more contact opportunities for exhibitors than if each trade fair were held separately.

This powerful trade fair duo also offers numerous synergies and considerable added value for trade visitors. One example of this is the fact that all tickets are valid for both trade fairs. As a result, visitors can look forward to the innovations and latest offerings from exhibitors at Fuel & Gas Logistics as well as new products and portfolios from GGS exhibitors. The varied and practically oriented conference programme will likewise include talks and contributions relevant to both events.

The modern exhibition site in Leipzig provides exhibitors at both trade fairs with a flexible and spacious infrastructure with ground-level vehicle access to the halls. Furthermore, the logistics management concepts developed by Leipziger Messe have been successfully tested for years. This guarantees easy build-up and breakdown as well as smooth overall organisation and technical services.
